“Bohem” rocking chair by Lena Larsson, 1960s, SOLD

A stunning “Bohem” rocking chair, designed by Swedish design guru Lena Larsson in 1958, and then manufactured in limited number runs by Nässjö Stolfabrik throughout the 1960s.

Although similar in appearance to the “Mademoiselle” rocking chair by Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara, Larsson’s design has become an iconic piece that is renowned for capturing the simple elegance of the Post-war Scandinavian design movement. The chair captures the very essence of Scandinavian aesthetic, and the quality of construction offered by Stolfabrik mean that though rare, these pieces have a wonderful, enduring quality…

This particular piece is in excellent structural condition, and wears its life experience with pride! The white paintwork shows some signs of wear, as to be expected in a piece of this age – please see the photographs.

A stunning addition to any home, whether for a bachelor pad, city loft, family home; it will serve equally well and will be an investment piece for life…
