We are delighted to offer this wonderful example of 1960s Swedish design in this teak and lacquered finish Troeds Bjarnum Sideboard.
Designed by leading architect Nils Jonsson, the sideboard offers a fusion of form and functionality for followers of Mid-Century design. As can be seen within the myriad features of this sideboard, Troeds produced pieces that were desired by design addicts.
The symmetry of design is evident from first glance; two black lacquered cupboards flanking four central drawers that are delicately angled to create a concertina effect.
Built with a solid teak carcass, each cupboard is split by a teak shelf, and due to the nature of the sliding doors, can be closed and hidden away or left exposed to showcase individual items, via the cigar shaped Beech handles.
The central drawers are made with teak fronts, and all run on metal runners, rather than wooden ones, again a nod to Nils Jonsson’s exacting design features.
