Well, that was a nice break. Two days into the start of term and it doesn’t really feel like lockdown happened, to be quite honest. Life is just as busy, there are just as many things going on, places to be, work to be done, as ever there were. I kind of miss having one thing to do per day.
We had a lovely little escape to the Lakes last week, where we tried to stay as far away from other people as possible whilst spending our money in small, local businesses – tricky to balance, but not impossible. Take Away Sticky Toffee Pudding from Cartmel Village Shop has given me faith that most things are achievable.
As we’ve been away and then straight back to school and work, I’m afraid I haven’t anything new to show you on the Happy Chair front just now – but soon, very soon, I’ll have an Ercol Chairmakers Chair, a leather Tetrad chair and footstool, and an Esavian table, to name just a few of the treasure sitting in the workshop waiting for my attention.
In the meantime, the website is overflowing with lovely bits of vintage furniture, from dining tables to rocking chairs to massive storage cabinets – check it all out here!
More vintage goodies next week, promise!
