Happy Chair Home are pleased to present this super teak ‘Manhattan’ loveseat sofa by Guy Rogers.
Designed by Eric Pamphilon and George Freyer, and manufactured in the mid 1960s as part of the Manhattan range, the excellent quality of Guy Rogers shines through across the piece.
This stunning two seat sofa is made of teak with contrasting blue wool upholstery. The sofa arms, so characteristic of the Manhattan range, have been fully refurbished and oiled three times to nourish the wood, and display beautifully. The show frame and tapering legs have also been oiled to ensure a lovely finish.
For the upholstery all internal foam, Pirelli webbing, and inners have been replaced, then covered with a fantastic woollen fabric in a striking dark blue, to make it fully compliant to fire regulations.
A rare and hard to find two seat model that offers fantastic proportions; equally at home in a home office, bedroom, or of course, in your lounge. An iconic and sought-after piece, in super restored condition – it would complement any vintage/mid-century inspired interior.
