Happy Chair Home are delighted to bring you another vintage classic with which to furnish your nest!
This little stunner comes from the ‘Cromerwood’ range, designed by G A Jenkins for Packet Furniture UK the makers of Tecta Chairs, in 1948. It is often attributed to Eric Lyons, another powerhouse who also designed chairs for Packet, and is similar to the more commonly available ‘Linden’ chair.
This classic piece of British post-war design features a beech laminate frame for strength, the upward scoop of the arm providing wonderful ergonomics. The arms have a lovely patina, and have been sympathetically cleaned.
To complement the impact and lightness of the sculpted frame, the original sprung seat has been re-upholstered in a beautiful 100% wool fabric in a stunning navy blue; a juxtaposition that works superbly. Increasingly hard to find, this chair sits beautifully and is ready to grace any room.
