This week, we’re taking a closer look at our lovely little pair of Toothill Cocktail chairs.
Toothill were a relatively small British furniture company manufacturing in the mid twentieth century – being a little smaller then means their work is a little harder to find now, making this matching pair all the more special.
An absolute pleasure to work on, we decided to simply give them a thorough clean, replace the seat cushions with modern, fire retardant foam, and replace the underside of the seat covers with fresh calico. Over the years, the upholstery covering the front bar of the chair frame had become damaged, so we have replaced that small section with a complimentary jute edging.
These chairs have a fantastic shape, and would bring an authentic ’60s vibe to any living or even dining room – their height means they would work well with most dining tables, for super comfortable long lunches.
Have a fab week vintage lovers,
